Summary

The Center on Reinventing Public Education (CRPE) invites letters of interest from qualified human resource professionals with extensive experience recruiting for diverse roles in education policy research organizations. CRPE, based at Arizona State University’s Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching and Learning Innovation (MLFC), is a research hub that rigorously examines and tests transformative ideas for improving K-12 public education.

Project Description

Our organization is actively seeking skilled recruitment professionals to collaborate with CRPE’s leadership team and strategic operations staff to ensure the hiring of highly qualified candidates for various research and operations roles.

We aim to attract exceptional talent whose expertise and values align with our mission to inform and improve education policy and practice. CRPE is seeking a trusted consultant and advisor to assist with various mid and senior-level searches as needed in 2025. Current anticipated roles include Principal Research Investigator, Senior Research Analyst, and Research Project Manager. Additional roles may be added.

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience working with research organizations, a deep understanding of education policy, and a demonstrated commitment to equitable and inclusive hiring practices.

Scope of Work

    • Collaborating with CRPE’s Director of Strategic Operations and other leadership team members to identify hiring needs and develop detailed recruitment strategies tailored to specific roles.
    • Conducting outreach and networking to build a strong pipeline of qualified candidates in the education policy and research field for future openings and potential contractors.
    • Supporting aspects of the recruitment lifecycle include sourcing and pre-screening.  
  • As needed, providing input on job descriptions and required competencies aligned with organizational needs and values.
  • Ensuring recruitment practices reflect and advance diversity, equity, inclusion, and justice (DEIJ) principles.
  • Providing data-driven insights and recommendations on market trends, competitive hiring practices, and strategies.
  • Advising CRPE on long-term talent development and retention strategies.

 

Key Requirements

    • At least five years of experience recruiting for education policy, research organizations, or similar mission-driven entities.
    • Deep understanding of education systems, policies, and research methodologies.
    • Proven track record of successfully hiring mid- to senior-level professionals.
    • Expertise in incorporating DEIJ principles into recruitment practices.
    • Strong project management skills and the ability to effectively handle multiple recruitments and tight deadlines.
  • Exceptional interpersonal, networking, and written communication skills.

    2. Case Studies/Sample Work: Share at least two case studies demonstrating your experience recruiting for roles in education policy or similar fields. Highlight specific outcomes, such as successful hires, process improvements, or diversity achievements.
    3. Diversity Statement: Describe your approach to embedding DEIJ principles in the recruitment process, including any tools, frameworks, or success stories that illustrate your commitment to inclusive hiring.
    4. Contact Information: Provide your email, phone number, and best times for follow-up discussions.
    5. Budget: Please indicate your hourly rate or project-based fee in your submission.
