Chelsey Shen is a junior research intern at the Center on Reinventing Public Education, where she works on the COVID Rapid Response Team to produce a database that accurately describes districts’ priorities and practices. She is passionate about creating an equitable education system for all and hopes to continue working in education policy in the future. She currently attends the University of California, Los Angeles as a Public Affairs major.
As part of CRPE’s ongoing review of how large districts are responding to the pandemic and planning to spend their federal COVID-19 relief dollars, we looked into how districts are planning to address staff recruitment and retention challenges.
