About CRPE

The Center on Reinventing Public Education is a nonpartisan research and policy analysis center. Since 1993, we have studied innovative, evidence-based solutions to improve public education. We believe public education is a goal—to prepare every child for citizenship, economic independence, and personal fulfillment—rather than a set of institutions. From this foundation, we strive to understand and advocate for necessary changes in policy and practice to meet the needs of every student. CRPE is part of Arizona State University’s Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching and Learning Innovation.

Partnerships

The American School District Panel is a nationally representative recurring survey of school district leaders in the United States. The surveys provide an opportunity for superintendents to share their perspectives and contribute to decisions about education policy and practice.

The Next Education Workforce™ (NEW) is a model of team-based strategic school staffing that aims to serve students better and create more sustainable careers for educators. Researchers at CRPE partner with NEW staff on program evaluation and study NEW’s impact on teachers and students.

The Canopy Project is a collaborative effort, stewarded by CRPE and Transcend, to build collective knowledge about innovative, student-centered learning environments nationwide. Each year, the project collects and shares data on schools reimagining education through a public database and research reports.
