Heather Casimere is a research analyst assistant at the Center on Reinventing Public Education. Heather manages data collection and analysis, writes blogs and case studies, and engages in cultivating community and equity. Prior to joining CRPE, Heather forged her career in higher education at Columbia University in the City of New York, Stanford University, Seattle University, and the University of Washington.
A creator of wellness resources serving communities of color, Heather founded Brave Warrior Free Art, a resource engaging the intersections between emotional health, spirituality, and art. Heather is a published author of two books, Brave. Warrior. Free and Shades of Green: A Theology of Loss and Love. She holds a B.A. in English (creative writing) from San Francisco State University and an M.A. in theology and culture from The Seattle School of Theology & Psychology.
