Pandemic Learning Innovations
The pandemic upended normal school operations, creating unprecedented disruptions for schools and students, but also creating opportunities to experiment with new approaches to teaching and learning. CRPE’s work aimed to learn from these efforts and surface solutions to help address longstanding inequities in K-12 education.
This work included:
- A national effort to study pandemic learning communities and explore the ways families and communities devised new learning environments in the wake of school closures.
- A partnership with TNTP to support district and community-based leaders committed to using pandemic innovations to support long-term, systemic changes to education that better meet the needs of students and families.
- A national effort in partnership with Transcend to share information about educational innovation from hundreds of organizations and schools nationwide.
- A study about how the pandemic has shifted the boundaries of what it means to reinvent high school through the lens of six New England schools.
